The MSP Knowledge Management and Dissemination Project (MSP KMD) was funded as an MSP RETA to support knowledge management within the Math and Science Partnership program and to disseminate information to the broader mathematics and science education community. A partnership of Horizon Research, Inc., Education Development Center, and WestEd, MSP KMD is charged with investigating a set of topics critical to the MSP community, including developing and utilizing teacher leaders in mathematics and science. In the MSP KMD project, we focus both on "what do we know" about a topic like teacher leadership as well as "how well do we know it?". The MSP KMD project collects, synthesizes and shares knowledge about a topic, such as teacher leadership, from the empirical research literature, from emerging MSP research, and from expert practitioners (including MSP leaders). This work draws from these different knowledge sources.
