All of us report gains in content-knowledge by teachers participating in our programs. Some of us report gains in student achievement. The nature of these claims varies from one program to the next. A goal of this session will be to compare / discuss the nature of these claims. Questions include:

  1. What is the nature / significance of the various forms of evidence of change in teacher content knowledge?

  2. What is the nature / significance of evidence for change in classroom practice?

  3. What is the nature / significance of the evidence for change in professional culture in the school settings?
