In this presentation, we examine the relationship between teachers' qualifications and the nature of their science instruction. Specifically, we sought answers to the following questions:

  1. Do highly qualified teachers provide high quality science instruction?

  2. Do teachers who are not highly qualified provide high quality science instruction?

  3. What is the relationship between teachers' experience, grade level, qualifications, and their science teaching?
