Developing Secondary Mathematics Content Knowledge for Teaching in Secondary Mathematics and Science Teachers

We hypothesized that coursework designed to develop teachers' subject matter knowledge for teaching with accompanying professional learning communities that promoted reflection on learning and teaching, and support in developing conceptually focused, inquiry based lessons would promote positive shifts in secondary mathematics teachers' instructional practices.
