1. Summary
A central tenet of the NSF Math and Science Partnership program is that deep and sustained involvement of higher education faculty is crucial for the success of efforts to improve K-16 teaching and student learning in the STEM disciplines. This Special Interest Group will examine (1) the impact of MSP program work on faculty teaching and research and (2) the progress that has been made in creating effective faculty reward systems in MSP projects. Following presentations by a panel, the audience will be invited to ask questions and share information pertinent to these topics.
