The purpose of this pilot study is to obtain information on student outcomes and gain a better understanding of the institutional and environmental factors that influence the decision of community college STEM majors to remain on the pathway to teaching.  The researcher sought to address the following key research questions:

1.  Did program participants remain on the pathway to math and science teaching?  Which institutional and environmental factors best predict this decision?

2.  To what extent and in what ways were participants encouraged to continue on to math and science teaching careers by faculty, staff, and their families?
